Thanks to his studies at the Rennes School of Fine Arts, Matar S. enriched his artistic approach and discovered the possibilities offered by the processing of digital images. Since then, he very frequently resorts to this technique, creating his images like scenes: each sight must give the impression of being "real", whereas it is made up of different photographs, with the objective to come near the subjective perception of a space, and not its reality.

Matar S. has notably exhibited at the Serge Laurent gallery (Paris 8), the Distilled Art gallery (Paris 11), the Lads Gallery of Osaka (Japan) and the Montrouge Salon. In 2003, he was selected "artist of the month" by almanart.com, site dedicated to contemporary art.
