« We stayed 9 months for the shooting of the film, « Himalaya, l’enfance d’un chef ». I took this photograph during one of our trips in the region of Dolpo and was able to seize the avalanche overhanging this group of yaks and of Dolpo-Pa ». DK

Kellner
Native of Canada, Debra Kellner studies economy and starts a career as a trader on the stock market. Impassioned by oriental languages, she decides to exchange the world of skyscrapers for the silk route. From 1990, she undertakes voyages in India, in Nepal and in China as a photographer and a documentary director. Since 1994, her work has treated more particularly women. During the 15 last years, Debra has lived, voyaged and enormously worked across the entire Asian continent. She has realized numerous exhibitions and documentaries and has benefited from appearances in huge international magazines. Today, she divides her time between Asia and Europe where she lives with her husband and her two young children. In collaboration with Eric Valli, she has published an album of the shooting of the film « Himalaya,l’enfance d’un chef » (Himalaya, the childhood of a chief), the book, Princesses de la forêt (Princesses of the forest) and the beautiful book of the shooting of the film «La piste». Her work has been largely published in numerous magazines such as National Geographic, Stern, Paris Match, Géo...
