About this photograph :
Stormy Seas
This lighthouse built in 1903, is situated on the coast of Sunderland, a town in the north-east of England. This lighthouse standing at over 75 feet is still working today, but closed to the public. It is used by the Sunderland port administration. These spectacular photographs, taken during extremely rough sea conditions, capture the amazing power of the natural forces that lighthouses are constantly subject to having resisted the test of time for over one hundred years.
