Tulipes

About this photograph :
Tulipes
"I have always photographed flowers. I dream about parched flowers. There rests in them just a little bit of life, and I should urgently save them by giving them water, but something always stops me and I wake up full of sadness. As if by magic, my eyes are drawn by flowers. In my atelier, there are always flowers and I let them grow old, some old tulips have waited for a year before I have photographed them. They become gracious and delicate and assume a very individual air. I make them seem like movie stars."
